may i suggest, that, being a 30 year old christian girl i actually present a minority?
may i tell you a little tale to highlight this: being a philosophy student, i continuosly find myself being surrounded by atheists. fact is: there are hardly any christian academics, and even fewer philosophers still. so, during the course of my studies i wish to engage in contrasting and comparing christian thought with a kantian argument. well, suggesting this to my prof. merely leads him to utterly mock my endeavour. he makes it quite plain that such work will not be accepted by him. funnily enough all the while he is actually busy writing a play in which the church (represented by an elderly judge) is persecuting a girl of my age for being pregnant out of wed lock. Little did he realize that he is in fact applying the same methods by dealing with me in that same manner of utter disrespect, abusing his position of authority to forcefully apply his own beliefs.

remember that great scene in "elizabeth" when the hunky man is telling tales of his great adventures? him being quite tasty aside, what a scene?! waiting, hoping, waiting, waiting, waiting! only hope stirring one along! nothing concrete, off the beaten track. ok, we are not out to find a new continent, rather, we are out to find the new world. kinda alike!

During the world cup and now also during the european cup the comment i heard the most was people mentioning the relieve they felt at seeing the germans joyfully showing their flag! and: these were comments made by foreigners! the world is ready for a new german identity!
germany will be a name for compassion!!!! so much so, that images of helping hands come to mind once germany is mentioned. germany will take center stage in bringing injustice to an end!!!
während des "world cups" und des "uefa cups" war der am meissten gehörte Kommentar, es sein schön die Deutschen zu sehen, wie sie voller Freude ihre Flagge zeigten! Und diese Kommentare kamen von nicht-deutschen! Die Welt ist offen für eine neue Identität der Deutschen! Deutschland wird ein Name des Mitgefühls sein! So sehr, das das Wort "Deutschland" helfende Hände in das Gedächtnis rufen wird!Deutschland wird zentral dazu beifügen, die Ungerechtigkeit dieser Welt zu bekämpfen!!!
